Notes
Local Jacky Cotterill said "He was a big smart fellow and always wore a bowler hat. He was very clever and sunk pit drifts for Teasdale Bros. of Cockfield. He always walked there and back to work. He had a photograph of Edith Cavell on the house wall and named their daughter after her"
